Metal Work

Hip hip hurra. I love it.

Merci & Uf Wiederluege

// english

On my wish list was a visit to Götti Switzerland since a long time. Desired – Done. After an 1.5 hours drive to Switzerland to Lake Zurich, I reached the office of Götti in Wädenswil. Exciting, I can tell you. For a long time Götti has been a brand that consistently convinces me with its quality and transports the feeling of heart and soul with their glasses and their marketing. (Look here) The brand of Sven Götti is almost 25 years in the market, has grown steadily and has taken all the industry changes in each case. Götti Switzerland currently presents three different collections: Götti Switzerland, Götti Perspective, Götti Dimension – the 3D printing glasses. But more on that later.

A day at Götti Switzerland

Thomas F. von Götti has really pleasantly accompanied me throughout the day, giving me insights into the life of the Götti brand. A brand that carries a story, a brand that has charisma and a brand that broadcast quiet like no other. For me it is super exciting to see which people are working behind a brand, which ideas stand behind each pair of glasses and how the implementation takes place. A familiar atmosphere has the brand which you can also see at the current campaign, which photos were taken at Sven Götti’s home. The selection of the photographer for the shoot happened somehow uncomplicated. Zosia Prominska is a wearer of Götti glasses. Sometimes she used her own glasses for her shoots and therefore tagged Götti Switzerland in her social media channels. A relaxed and uncomplicated contact to Zosia Prominska started, who took the campaign shoot in the apartment. This shoot is also characterized by minimalism, whose actors put the glasses in scene and convey the feeling of the design claim.

Perspective

With the Götti Perspective collection, Sven Götti and his team have created a whole new dimension of rimless eyewear. There are already some well-known rimless eyewear on the market, but the Perspective actually works without any screws and works with an elegant and tricky plug-in system (also patented by Götti) that is supported by modern 3D print technology. So it also happened that my sunglasses, which I already selected in advance, were assembled on site directly and together with me within a few minutes. Once click, once clack accuracy and sensitivity and finished was my masterpiece – the perspective DCS04. I think I do not have to mention at this point, that these sunglasses are incredibly light.

3D print eyewear

With the 3D print eyewear, Götti has been on the market for about one and a half year. This completely new process, which is also very new and exciting for the industry, makes it possible to carry out in-house production (even in Switzerland). A machine that glazes the powder layer by layer enables a whole new dimension of eyewear. Götti Switzerland does not just produce 3D printing glasses, but also allows a kind of „customized“ version for the optician or end user, with various nose bridge widths, temple lengths and glass sizes. The Customized version will take about three weeks to deliver but for a perfectly fitted pair of glasses, everyone will probably take the little wait. Perfect fit and perfect wearing comfort is guaranteed.

Metal work

Hip Hip Hooray. Metal / Titanium Eyewear by Götti Switzerland? Sure! Not only since yesterday, actually quite a long time and really special on the market. In the current collection many edges and straight lines that give character – to the glasses and of course to the wearer as well are presented. Fine, minimalist and in the style of Götti. I love it.

Thank you and bye

A day at Götti made me feel like saying hello to a small eyewear family. The atmosphere and quiet from this office is rare. It was a pleasure for me to be there. I actually wanted to stay in this office. But at some point I thanked them all, went into my car and let knit the wonderful and interesting day on me on my 1.5 hour drive. Thanks Götti.
