Back at home in Switzerland

Also war meine Brille wieder in ihrer Heimat.

//Add that the heading does not refer to me immediately but to my glasses, then it all makes sense. My Götti glasses, which I wear in the pictures, are designed 100% in Switzerland by Sven Götti. The production of the glasses is then shifted to the countries of Japan, Germany and Austria. Why Japan do you ask? Because the Japanese factories still have the best know-how and quality for „Titan“ work. This is masterwork, which is not so easy to imitate here in the European countries. However, the label and the company HQ is in Switzerland. So my glasses were back in their home.

// On the recommendation of the dear Mirjam I have snapped my hub S. and went with him to our beautiful neighbor country, to Switzerland. We visited the Fotomuseum in Winterthur, where current exhibitions of Thomas Kern and Jungjin Lee take place. My affair for photography has now turned into fascination. Inscriptions and methods of Jungjin Lee which I have not seen so far. For me it was more painting than photography. Contrary to this, the black and white life on Haiti, which Thomas Kern implemented. The square representation of the images dragged through, and each image contained so many small details that the length of the stay in the museum could last until the evening hours. For faceprint.at this was the first cultural swivel, which I presented here on the blog. But by the subject of photography, my eyes like to open a little further and look at all the hidden details of a picture.

Old is the new new

//And now back to my glasses. I am wearing model DARELL in silver, which looks a bit more masculine. Götti is currently designing incredibly beautiful titanium frames, which are characterized by minimalism in the style and design. Here I have already presented to you a version that is currently one of my absolute favorites. When I wear these titanium or metal glasses, I feel now and again returned to childhood when our parents still had such eyeglass frames on their noses. But as the saying goes:

Old is the new, new.

Götti now also presents their 3D printing glasses. What exactly that is, I’ll tell you soon. I can only bet so much now: a new era is in the roll ….
