The Hingucker

The campaign shoot for the new Hingucker eyewear – our private label, which is sold at Hingucker or Bitsche Optik. We are always focused on presenting the glasses with people like you and me. With people who work with us, laugh with us, celebrate with us and love quality and design. This year’s collection is also quite beautiful – fine line – and purist in its existence. When you enter the former factory Klarenbrunn in Bludenz, you can feel it again: the spirit of the old spinning mill. In order to further spur the values of craftsmanship and quality, Hingucker & Friends met for the photo shoot in these listed workshops. Cummings:

“For whatever we lose (like a you or a me),
It’s always our self we find in the sea.”

//Whoosh… and again is a month over. A month of innumerable sunbeams, southern heat and a lot of ice cream for the belly to enjoy. But also more things have happened this month. At the beginning I have made a very poetic blogpost about the California brand SALT. According to the poem of E.E. Cummings:

„For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
It’s always our self we find in the sea.“

I was able to bring you closer to my thoughts about the sea and to you a beautiful and stylish frame from SALT.

HINGUCKER

//The opening of our first EYEWEAR CONCEPT STORE brought with it many new and exciting tasks and challenges. Two months later, I can say: WOW … I’m still flashed of all the great feedback we get and it’s incredibly much fun to combine other beautiful things for the eyes with EYEWEAR. Have a look: www.hingucker.at

What should I wear today?

//Metal and yellow is my answer. Trendwatching is one of my favorite tasks. Especially the differences between the American and European market is interesting. And one thing I can tell you: The Europeans clearly set the tone in this case.

Was steht an im Juli?

//First of all, I am looking forward to a great interior fair in Munich where I will look for new discoveries for our HINGUCKER Eyewear Concept Store. Afterwards it is for me and S. vacation time. Well deserved I would nevertheless note 😉

Hingucker

Was steckt dahinter?

//Recently, for the first time, it was a bit quieter on my blog and as I promised you, I would like to call you the reason for it. In the last few months, a completely new project was on my agenda, which I can finally present to you. My husband S and I opened our first EYEWEAR CONCEPT STORE in Bludenz, Austria at the beginning of May. Different, still, and a real eye-catcher are my words for that. www.hingucker.at

What’s behind it?

The Hingucker is the first EYEWEAR CONCEPT STORE in Vorarlberg, Austira, showing an innovative and incomparable concept. As in a beautiful magazine, with the focus on EYEWEAR, different themes are offered, such as interior, beauty, books, magazines and small treats. Hingucker – Das Schöne Sehen – reflects the two worlds EYEWEAR and LIFESTYLE again and offers a unique shopping experience. Our goal is to inspire and make beautiful things visible. The HINGUCKER is a store, which is always redefined. But one thing remains fixed. The eyewear and our passion for it.

The store has already been described as the „jewel“ of the city, which obviously makes me incredibly happy. So if you are in the area, simply drop by and get inspired. Now, of course, I would like to present you a few impressions, so you know what I’ve been working on in the past few months.

Hingucker

//May was an exciting month for me. Not because I’ve traveled a lot or have experienced so much, but because my husband S and I have opened our first HINGUCKER* – EYEWEAR CONCEPT STORE. A detailed post I will show you in the next few days. (*HINGUCKER is the German word for eye catcher)

The Eyewear Forum

//In the past two months I was able to do some great shootings for brands such as Portrait, Daniel Hechter, Coblens Eyewear, Eye Tec and many more in cooperation with „The Eyewear Forum*“. 20 shootings, 20 locations, 20 outfits and, above all, 20 different spectacles. In fact, this is a small Eyewear Blogger Paradise. However, this task has turned out to be a major challenge because of the weather situation in the past two months. Since the current weather is only the best, one or the other can’t remember the bad weather period. As you know, sunglasses and rain aren’t a good comibnation. Some of the shootings you’ve already seen, but I’m looking forward to show you more pictures. (The Eyewear Forum is an international Forum on Facebook with more than 10.000 members from the optical field.)

Independent Eyewear Day

Am 20. Mai fand der jährliche „Independent Eyewear Day“ statt.

Your passion, is my passion.

//On May 20th, the annual „Independent Eyewear Day“ took place. As in any industry, there are 2-3 big players who „dominate“ the market and take influence. It is important to give a voice to the smaller, independent spectacle labels. Brands such as Andy Wolf, Blackfin and Rolf Spectacles set new standards in design and/or material and make this industry as exciting as it is. These brands are full of „passion, heart & soul“ and their glasses reflect these feelings.

SPECTR Magazine

//Sometimes dreams come true. But that it would be so fast, I haven’t thought. In the current SPECTR issue no. 20 you will find a report about me and my work as an eyewear blogger. Jenny from the blog was the header that could not be better. For those who do not have a SPECTR magazine, the interview will soon be available at www.spectr-magazine.com.

Make up for glasses auf meinem Eyewear Blog zu posten.
