New York . Eyewear show.

//Last week, my husband S. and I travelled for a short trip to New York. The city is „amazing“, but I do not need to tell this anyone. In addition to a small tourist program where we discovered the city, we also had some professional appointments on our agenda. It started with an „Eyewear Trend Presentation“ from the Vision Expo at the Crowne Plaza on Time Square. Which are the colors, forms and materials of this year has been shown. Afterwards a nice „get-together“ took place, with selected labels presenting their current collections. The US eyewear market is definitely different from the European eyewear market and there are several labels that are very unknown in Europe. For me it was exciting to discover these labels and to look more closely to them. I noticed Modo Eyewear, Kate Young for Tura, Coco & Breezy and Shwood.

VISION EXPO EAST

//The next day we visited the Vision Expo East. The size of the fair is unbelievable. Starting with frames, there are also machines for eyeglasses, eye care products, contact lenses and much more. I naturally focused on the hall with the glasses and a single day for it, was actually too short. It is always nice to meet brands you already know very well like Andy Wolf, Suzy Glam or Smoke x Mirrors. (Thanks again to Rachel from Smoke x Mirrors for all the insider New York tips.)

LOFT EYEWEARSHOW, New York

New York – the City of dreams. Auch für mich.

In the evening there was a pretty brilliant „Black & White“ party with white and black masks, silent disco, fingerfood and delicious drinks. Actually, a rooftop party would have been planned, but literally it „fell into the water“. Unfortunately. In general, we had actually planned a lot of cool shootings for New York, but the weather didn’t mean well with us, because apart from wind, cold and rain, New York did not offer us anything much better on these days. For this reason, S. and I simply decided to visit New York again with nice weather in our luggage. New York – the City of dreams. For me too.
